Vintage photo of men at a polo match.
Collage of an old magazine page titled ‘Letter From Florida’ with sepia photographs of stylish couples, a wooden polo mallet, and a red hibiscus flower.

AS WITH ALL INSPIRING IDEAS,

IT BEGAN WITH A STORY.

Tasha Hipwood grew up captivated by tales from polo’s golden age, shared by Stewart B. Iglehart, son of the legendary 10-goal player, Stewart Iglehart.

From 1930s Old Westbury, New York to Gulf Stream, Florida, these were glamorous and high-spirited times. On Sundays, Palm Beachers cruised their yachts down the Intracoastal to the Gulf Stream polo grounds. Thousands came to watch the weekly polo matches. Guests — a dazzling mix of Hollywood stars, fashion editors, English gentlemen, and international spectators from India to South America — gathered for never-ending soirées, where tap dancing was simply de rigueur.

Vintage blue book titled ‘El Morocco’s Family Album’ styled with a black-and-white palm tree illustration and an old photograph of glamorous partygoers in tuxedos and evening gowns — evoking 1930s Palm Beach nightlife.

these vivid images came to life

in the "el morocco" family album of 1937.

The album was a gift from S.B. Iglehart to Tasha. It would later inspire her namesake label, one that captures the playful spirit of refined sporting style.
